Shizen Engineering receives letter of appreciation from Hokkaido for corporate hometown tax donation

Shizen Engineering Inc. (Shizen Engineering) utilized the corporate hometown tax donation program in September 2024 to support the funding for the promotion of zero-carbon in Hokkaido. On February 28, 2025, Shizen Engineering received a letter of appreciation from Naomichi Suzuki, the Governor of Hokkaido, at a ceremony held at the Hokkaido Government Office. The ceremony was attended by Jan Warzecha, Representative Director of Shizen Engineering, Naoto Takiguchi, President of Hokkaido Shizen Energy Inc. and Vice President Makoto Doyashiki.

The fund to promote zero-carbon in Hokkaido was established by the Hokkaido Government to expand long-term initiatives aimed at successfully achieving zero carbon in Hokkaido, such as accelerating the introduction of renewable energy and promoting energy conservation. In Hokkaido, this fund is being used to support regionally led local energy production and consumption, promote industrial development and technology advancement, raise awareness, and develop human resources.

These efforts will also be conducted through the provision of comprehensive decarbonization solutions to customers and partners in Hokkaido, including local governments, the business community, the agricultural and livestock industries, and universities.

In addition to efforts such as this corporate hometown tax donation, the Shizen Energy Group will continue to work with communities and partners in Hokkaido to contribute to the Green Transformation of Hokkaido.
