Aisin Thai Automotive Casting (Aisin Group) and Shizen Energy / Constant Energy execute a Corporate PPA for a first solar rooftop in Thailand
On October 29, 2020, Shizen Energy Inc. (“Shizen Energy”) and Constant Energy have executed a long-term Power Purchase Agreement for a first rooftop-based solar PV plant with Aisin Thai Automotive Casting Co., Ltd, a joint venture between Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd.(Japan) and Toyota Tsusho (Thailand) Co., Ltd. This solar rooftop project is located in Kabinburi Industrial Zone, in Prachinburi province.
Shizen Energy and Constant Energy will construct a rooftop solar power plant with capacity of 1MW. Supplying clean, cost-competitive renewable energy from this rooftop solar power plant, the project will contribute to reducing their average electricity cost while lowering their carbon footprint.
Hiroki Koga, General Manager at Shizen Energy added: “We are very pleased to execute a contract with Asin Thai Automotive Casting. Despite travel restrictions, we supported the PPA discussion effectively via remote working practices. This is first step of our long-term relationship. From 2021, our country manager for Thailand, Rei Ushikubo, will relocate to Thailand to follow-up with customers more closely. We hope to contribute to the Aisin Group’s “Low-Carbon society” as environmental target and RE transition.”

“Construction will start immediately as pre-construction permitting requirements have already been completed prior to PPA signing, as part of our fast-track development process.
