Ken Isono
Representative Director
After graduating from university, Ken worked in advertising sales at Recruit Co., Ltd. He later worked for a wind power generation company in the development, construction, and maintenance of wind farms throughout Japan. In June 2011, after the Great East Japan Earthquake, he co-founded Shizen Energy Inc. and became Representative Director. Ken is mainly responsible for new business development. He leads collaborations with a wide range of partners to realize a sustainable, decarbonized and decentralized society.

Kenji Kawado
Representative Director
After graduating from university, Kenji joined a wind power generation company where he was involved in the development, financing and project management of wind farms throughout Japan. In June 2011, following the Great East Japan Earthquake, he co-founded Shizen Energy Inc. and became Representative Director. He is mainly responsible for areas such as investment and strategy, corporate management, finance, and accounting. He led fundraising initiatives that totaled over 74 billion yen in 2022.

Masaya Hasegawa
Representative Director
After completing his master’s degree, Masaya worked at a consulting firm on business improvement projects for major financial institutions. He later worked for a wind power generation company in development and corporate planning. In June 2011, after the Great East Japan Earthquake, he co-founded Shizen Energy Inc. and became Representative Director. He is mainly responsible for power plant development, new business, and power plant operations. He oversees the development of power plants in Japan and internationally, and manages partnerships with foreign investment and infrastructure companies.

Kumiko Isono
Director
After graduating from university, Kumiko worked for a management consulting firm, where she was involved in projects such as mid-term business planning and marketing strategy development for multiple industries. After joining Shizen Energy Inc. in 2014, she led the O&M business and was appointed as Representative Director of JUWI Shizen Energy Operation Inc. in April 2015. She later served as head of the Corporate Services Department for the Shizen Energy Group. Kumiko became Director of Shizen Energy Inc. in September 2020.

Rana Karadsheh-Haddad
External Director
Managing Director, Infrastructure, Asia Pacific at CDPQ Singapore, Rana has over 25 years of experience in investment and international finance. As the Asia-Pacific Industry Director at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), she led a team of 120 investment professionals. She also served as the Regional Director for Europe, overseeing IFC’s operations across the Western Balkans and the South Caucasus. Having joined CDPQ in March 2024, she is based in Singapore, where she is responsible for overseeing all of the organization’s infrastructure activities in the Asia Pacific region. She oversees a team of 20 specialists based in Sydney, New Delhi and Singapore, that manages a diversified portfolio of ports, toll roads, electricity generation and transmission networks and social infrastructure and public transportation assets.
