2023.10.16[Press Release]

Alamport Inc., NiX JAPAN Co., Ltd. and Shizen Energy Inc., through Alam Energy (company name: “PT ATW Alam Hijau”), a joint venture company in Indonesia, have been jointly developing a project to install a 3MW Rooftop Solar Power System at a paper factory in West Java, and this project has been selected by the Ministry of the Environment, Japan for Financing Programme for  Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) Model Projects  [1] in FY2023.

Alamport, NiX and Shizen Energy established Alam Energy in 2020 in collaboration with ATW Group, which is engaged in the business of selling solar power generation equipment and its construction. Alam Energy offers solar power rental services to industrial customers such as manufacturers and commercial facilities in Indonesia.

The JCM Model Project is implemented in cooperation with the Indonesian and Japanese governments, and this selected project will install a total of 3MW solar power generation systems on the roofs of the paper factory of PT Eco Paper Indonesia (Eco Paper), a subsidiary of PT Alkindo Naratama Tbk, located in Subang, West Java. The company is a participant in the international consortium.

Eco Paper can reduce their electricity bills by using competitively priced clean renewable energy sources without any initial investment.
