Shizen Operations Achieves 1GW in O&M Track Record

2025.10.24[Press Release]

Shizen Operations Inc. (Shizen Operations: https://so.shizenenergy.net/en/) is pleased to announce that, as of June 30, 2025, its cumulative contract capacity for operations and maintenance (O&M) services for renewable energy power plants has reached 1GW (1,000 MW).

The pipeline for this achievement includes multiple extra-high voltage solar power plants, notably the 25 MWac solar power plant in Inuyama City, Aichi Prefecture, for which a long-term renewable energy purchase agreement was concluded with Microsoft in October 2023.

In November 2024, Shizen Operations integrated the Asset Management (AM) division of the Shizen Energy Group. This integration established a framework that enables the company to provide high-quality, comprehensive one-stop services from both O&M and AM perspectives, thereby maximizing the asset value for its domestic and international customers. The Company attributes this success to its core strengths, including diverse expertise and proven track record in renewable energy power plant operations, and its operational excellence aligned with global standards.

As more than a decade has passed since Japan introduced its Feed-in Tariff (FIT) system, the number of long-term operating power plants in the country will rapidly increase. To respond to these changes, Shizen Operations plans to diversify services for existing power plants and accelerate its entry into new markets, such as grid-scale battery storage. Specifically, the Company will focus on strengthening and promoting the following businesses areas:

  • Strengthening asset management services for both domestic and international owners
  • Expanding O&M business for grid-scale battery storage
  • Enhancing power plant value and providing electrical/civil preventive maintenance services
    • Repowering and performance optimization
    • Large-scale civil engineering repair work

As a key member of the Shizen Energy Group, which provides end-to-end services from renewable energy power plant development to long-term operation, Shizen Operations will leverage the collective expertise and technical capabilities cultivated throughout the entire supply chain to reinforce these services.

Shizen Operations is committed to enhancing the long-term value of renewable energy power plants through stable and reliable operation, thereby contributing to the realization of a sustainable society.
