But I want to offset my CO2 emissions.

Your store or office is in a commercial facility or large building and cannot switch power companies, but you wish to offset your CO2 emissions.

  • I have a great electricity plan and don’t want to change my contract.
I just want the offset feature.

You want to maintain your current power plan as you receive a discount, but would like to purchase just the environmental value.

I want to offset CO2 just for this event.

You want to offset CO2 emissions for a short-term event.

  • I want to purchase a REC from a specific power plant.

You have a specific power plant from which you want to purchase environmental value.

What is a Renewable Energy Certificate (REC)?

The environmental value of electricity generated from renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and biomass can be visualized in the form of a certificate.
CO2 emissions can be offset by using the certificate for electricity.

Shizen Energy can offer a variety of Renewable Energy Certificates to meet your needs.

What are non-fossil fuel energy certificates with tracking?

A FIT non-fossil fuel energy certificate is a REC which has renewable energy value.
Non-fossil fuel energy certificate with tracking verifies information such as power source type and power plant location.
By procuring the necessary amount of certificates, it will allow your company to promote that “your company's electricity is powered by renewable energy.”
RECs can be applied to RE100, CDP and the Act on Promotion of Global Warming Countermeasures.

How we offer non-fossil fuel energy certificate with tracking

We will purchase non-fossil fuel energy certificates with tracking from certificate trading markets such as JEPX (Japan Electric Power eXchange) and carbon credit markets, and provide them to our customers.

Advantages of having an intermediaryNo need to pay JEPX admission fee, deposit, or annual fee.

Process for issuing non-fossil fuel energy certificates with tracking

After consulting with our customer regarding the desired procurement period, quantity, and amount of certificates required, we will participate in market bidding and procure certificates on behalf of our customer.
Even if this is your first time participating in a bidding process, we will provide information such as the average price of successful bids to support smooth procurement.

Depending on the amount of bids or other factors, we may consult with you about advance payment.

What is J-Credit?

Emission reductions through the introduction of energy-saving equipment and the use of renewable energy, as well as the absorption of CO2 and other emissions through appropriate forest management can be certified as “credit” by the Japanese government.
By purchasing J-Credits, you can offset the CO2 emissions associated with your products and services.
J-Credits can be applied to RE100, CDP and the Act on Promotion of Global Warming Countermeasures.
